PUBG Update 43.2 guarantees six Motor Gliders on every supported map, including two fixed spawns with fuel—making early flight routes far more predictable.
PUBG Update 43.2 introduces one of the most important Motor Glider changes in years. Every supported map will now contain six Motor Gliders, including two fixed spawns with fuel.
For pilots, this significantly reduces the randomness at the beginning of a match and creates new opportunities for planned flight routes, faster take-offs and more consistent airborne gameplay.
Six Motor Gliders Per Map
Previously, finding a Motor Glider could depend heavily on luck. With two guaranteed locations, players can now build reliable landing and rotation strategies around them.
- 2 Motor Gliders at fixed locations.
- 4 Motor Gliders randomly selected from 20 possible locations.
- The two fixed Motor Gliders spawn with a small amount of fuel.
- The four random Motor Gliders spawn without fuel.
- The same system applies to both Normal and Ranked matches.
Why the Fixed Spawns Matter
The biggest advantage is consistency.
A player who learns the fixed spawn locations will no longer need to search several possible locations before finding an aircraft. This should make it easier to reach the sky early and preserve more time for positioning, looting and finding fuel.
The fixed Motor Gliders already contain a small amount of fuel, but PUBG has not specified the exact quantity in the patch notes. It remains to be tested whether that fuel is sufficient for take-off or only enough to move the aircraft to a safer location.
Because these rules also apply to Ranked, Motor Gliders could become a more predictable tactical option in competitive matches.
New Routes and Contested Locations
Guaranteed spawns will likely change early-game movement around nearby areas.
Players may begin landing directly beside a fixed Motor Glider, while other squads could use these locations for ambushes or early vehicle control. Fuel canisters found nearby will also become more valuable.
For experienced pilots, learning the quickest routes between loot locations, fuel spawns and the two guaranteed aircraft could provide a meaningful advantage.
SLB: Dawnbreakers of Rondo
Update 43.2 also introduces SLB: Dawnbreakers of Rondo, a special gameplay experience featuring a darker version of Rondo.
The mode includes generators and the return of dangerous creatures. PUBG will publish additional information about the mode separately.
Its darker atmosphere and unusual encounters could create strong stream and highlight moments, particularly if Motor Gliders remain available during the event.
Additional Improvements
There are no major weapon balance changes in Update 43.2.
- Improved team markers.
- A new “Get in the vehicle!” communication message.
- Clearer visual effects for destroyed terrain on Erangel.
- General performance optimisations.
- An updated internal audio engine on PC.
What OGDiddo Will Test
Update 43.2 does not change Motor Glider handling, durability or fuel consumption. However, guaranteeing six aircraft per map—two of them at fixed locations with fuel—should make flying far more consistent and allow dedicated pilots to plan every match from the ground up.
- Find and document the two fixed Motor Glider locations on every supported map.
- Measure exactly how much fuel the fixed Motor Gliders contain.
- Check whether the starting fuel is enough for take-off.
- Create the fastest landing and looting routes to each guaranteed spawn.
- Compare the Motor Glider locations in Normal and Ranked.
- Attempt to locate all six Motor Gliders during a single match.
- Test whether fixed spawn locations become early-game ambush zones.
